Bess Hubbard was a print maker and sculptor from my home town, Lubbock, Texas. She saw the Southwest and the High Plains in a way that shaped the way I see both the world and art. I have admired her and loved her work for years. She has inspired me for decades. So, a tribute to her embedded in my ongoing found plate practice seemed a good idea.
